I'm making brioche. It's a rich egg bread perfect for toast or french toast. Since I had oatmeal with strawberries, fresh squeezed OJ and fresh pineapple for breakfast, I'm feeling virtuous.
Time to go punch it down. I haven't done a lot with yeast in a long time.
I went to the Farmer's Market for my strawberries and beets. This time I'm, going to eat the tops too. Carol told me to boil them but the vendor said to saute them. That sounds better to me.
Yesterday I sliced one and put it in the oven on a silpat to bake at 200 and dry for beet chips.
Marilyn says they are her favorite part. She says he roommates grate them in salads. I only remember Mom opening a can.
Had my Godivia chick early and jelly bellies.
Caro is making cinnamon rolls. I want to make scalloped potatoes and ham. She is making Cornish hens and potato salad and I am bringing asparagus, a lemon souffle abd strawberries.
I wish I had another day off.
